FAQ's

Product & Material Specifics

  • Is engineered oak real wood?
Yes. The top wear layer is 100% genuine premium oak, giving you the exact look, texture, and prestige of solid timber.

  • What is the difference between solid and engineered oak?
Solid oak is a single piece of wood that warps easily. Engineered oak bonds a real oak top layer to a cross-layered plywood core for superior structural stability.

  • How thick should the wear layer be?
Luxury flooring features a wear layer between
3mm and 6mm. This provides a premium feel and allows the floor to be safely sanded and refinished multiple times.

  • Where do you source your oak?
We sustainably source all of our raw timber from
FSC-certified European forests, ensuring slow-grown, high-density grain patterns.

Suitability & Installation

  • Can engineered oak be used with underfloor heating?
Yes. Unlike solid wood, engineered planks are specifically designed to safely conduct heat and resist temperature-induced shifting.

  • What rooms is this flooring suitable for?
It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, basements, and kitchens. It is not recommended for high-moisture family bathrooms.

  • Can your flooring be installed directly over concrete?
Yes. Our planks can be securely glued down to treated concrete or installed as a floating floor over a high-quality damp-proof underlay.

  • Do you offer extra-wide or custom-length planks?
Yes. As a direct manufacturer, we produce grand-scale architectural planks up to
300mm wide and 3 metres long.

Care & Longevity

  • How long does engineered oak flooring last?
With a premium wear layer and proper care, our engineered floors are designed to last
    between 50 and 100 years.

  • How do I clean and maintain the floor?
Vacuum with a soft brush attachment and damp-mop using a pH-neutral wood cleaner. Avoid steam mops and harsh household detergents.

  • Can engineered flooring be sanded and refinished?
Yes. Planks with a 4mm to 6mm wear layer can be professionally sanded and re-coated
3 to 5 times over their lifespan.
